Copper pans and pots by Falk Culinair

Falk Culinair has been making copper cookware in Belgium since 1958, today in Wespelaar-Haacht, 25 kilometres north-east of Brussels. The process is their own: instead of lining copper with tin — which melts at 230 degrees — Falk rolls a copper plate directly onto a thin layer of stainless steel. The result is a 2.5 mm bimetal: 2.3 mm copper, 0.2 mm stainless.

The difference is measurable. Copper conducts heat about twenty-five times better than stainless steel. You cook at a lower setting, and when you turn it down the pan responds at once instead of two minutes later. No coating, nothing that can come off.

We carry all four ranges and use them in the distillery ourselves. Falk gives a 30-year guarantee.

Which range suits you?

  • Flandria — 5-ply with a copper core, stainless handles, every hob including induction. Lighter, for everyday use.
  • Signature — copper with stainless handles, modern look. Induction only on Signature 2.0.
  • Classic — copper with cast-iron handles, the best heat conduction, the heaviest. Not for induction.
  • Fusion Classic — the same pan with a magnetic base, works on every hob.

Every size can be ordered. What is not in stock arrives from the workshop in about a week.
