Christmas at the Distillery — Fondue and Raclette in Basel
Fondue variations and raclette all you like, right inside the Aktienmühle distillery. 40 seats, Thursday to Sunday, 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027.
For company Christmas parties, club evenings and groups of friends, the whole room is yours — Monday to Sunday.
Season 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027 · Christmas break 21 Dec to 6 Jan · Bar service from age 18.
Fondue beside the pot still.
The tables stand in the still room, beside the pot still. Cheese all you like, gin from our own house, Ueli beer and wines from Vinalia — and a digestif we distilled ourselves to finish.
- Cheese without limit. Fondue variations and raclette as much as you like, with bread, potatoes and all the sides.
- The room is normally a distillery. From late November to mid-January there are tables beside the pot still; the rest of the year we distil in here.
- From the neighbourhood. Cheese from Wirth's Huus, bread from Jetzer Begg, cured meat from Metzgerei Andrist, Ueli beer from the Fischerstube brewery, wine from Vinalia — and gin from our own still.
- 40 seats. Small enough for one group to have the room to themselves.

Four fondues, raclette in five varieties.
Salad to start, then cheese without limit. Something sweet at the end.
- Lamb's lettuce salad. With chopped egg and roasted croutons, served with fresh bread. Bacon comes separately to the table, so the menu stays vegetarian.
- Classic fondue. Moitié-moitié of Gruyère AOP and Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP from Wirth's Huus. The Swiss standard, always on the table.
- Gin fondue. A moitié-moitié seasoned with Gin de Bâle instead of kirsch. Juniper and spruce needle in the cheese.
- Crémant fondue. Refined with our own crémant, delicate and lightly sparkling. The festive one.
- Crémant and truffle. A crémant base with truffle. Pre-order only, CHF 8 extra within a package.
- Raclette at the table. Table grill and small pans, you melt it yourself. Plain plus four seasoned varieties: pepper, wild herbs, smoked, chilli.
- Sides. Boiled potatoes, cornichons, pickled onions, pickled vegetables, light and dark bread from Jetzer Begg.
- Dessert and digestif. Tiramisu in a jar, with coffee and a digestif from our own distillery — Absinthe de Bâle, herbal liqueur or kirsch.
Vegan fondue on pre-order. Drinks are charged separately, not included in the all-you-like price. Our team is happy to answer questions about allergens — please place pre-orders at least three days ahead.
