Gentleman's Gin follows a London Dry recipe from the 1920s. Seven botanicals, distilled four times, made at the Aktienmühle distillery in Basel. We seal every bottle by hand with red wax.
Botanicals
Juniper berries, angelica root, lemon peel, wormwood, cardamom, cloves, Icelandic moss.
How it is made
The botanicals first steep in grain spirit. The macerate then goes into the pot still with rectification column, 300 litres per batch. Four runs, cold-filtered at the end.
In the glass
Juniper up front, then citrus and the body of the roots, cardamom and clove at the finish.
How we drink it
The classic choice for a Negroni: the juniper stands up to the Campari. Just as good in a Dry Martini, a Gin & Tonic or a Gin & Dubonnet. Recipe and comparison with our other gins on the Negroni page.

Wir brennen an der Gärtnerstrasse 46 in Kleinbasel, auf einer Pot Still, in Chargen von 300 Litern. Zehn Schweizer Gins stehen im Sortiment, neun davon brennen wir hier — die eigenen Marken ebenso wie Gin, den wir für andere brennen.
